Welcome to the BCPLC blog

Saturday Jan. 23, 2010 Mike Fitzpatrick.

I would like to hear from those who were waiting for himto announce and are willing to get out the vote for him.

Mike Fitzpatrick announces he is running for Congress in 2010.

Reply to JD Mullane column of 1-26-10

C'mon JD...Why are you throwing personal slurs and negative comments at Mike Fitzpatrick. Is it political,? It sounds it to me,…. sounds like you have been recruited to be the "hatchet Man" on Mike since you ARE a popular columnist. I might add that my wife and I really enjoy reading most of your columns, but today we were really taken back with this mornings column "The New MIKe".

JD, no matter how you try to bring him down, Mike is the most qualified candidate with years of experience helping his constituents here in his HOMETOWN of Bucks County. , from the township to the County, and eventually to Congress.

Does he support some liberal or democratic ideas, I suppose so, you mentioned he takes pride in always having a Democrat co-sponsor on bills he introduces. That's called politics...It is not selling out your party or constituents. It is called getting things done for your constituents. There are many issues that D's and R's can agree on and pass with bi-partisan cooperation. Without that cooperation they wouldn't pass.

Take for instance the recent debate during the Health care legislation and the Stupak amendment. Patrick Murphy continually calls himself a "Blue Dog Democrat", but when the Blue dogs supported the Stupak amendment stating no government funds can be used for abortion, Blue Dog Murphy voted against it, all the other Bluedog Dems supported it.

Was there any criticism of Murphy in the Courier for that vote?

His Nay vote did not suprise Pro-Life people because they know he is a militant pro-abortion supporter. His voting record demonstrates that as compared to the PROVEN Pro-Life voting record of Mike Fitzpatrick.

For the person who is upset about global warming, the D's look at it as a job making issue even though they probably don't believe all the bull they are spreading trying to convince Americans that WE are the reason for "global warming"..

I think Mike believs there are things we can do to prevent destroying our ecology. We certainly can do more in that area. Am I a global warmnist "believer? No

The "Tea Party Coalition" has done a great job raising many of the issues on which Mike agrees with some of them I'm sure.

I was a D for 35 years but they went too far to the left and left me and many other people standing in the position that is now called the right. The Republican party welcomed all these former D's, especially regarding social and moral issues.

Does anyone know any candidate who can tell you exactly what they will do to reverse these spending binges that the D's and Patrick Murphy supported (even though he call himself a blue dog Democrat. However We know from his past voting record that Mike Fitzpatrick is a fiscal conservative and will make the wise choices on behalf of his constituency...not on what his Republican party chair tells him.

Those who just don't like Mike will go try to bad mouth him and use the complaint that he is the PARTY'S puppet.

Most of those complaints come frompeople and candidates who are proven losers and don't know when to quit and join the team.

Actions speak louder than words Mike has proven by his action and his votes he can do the job.

People, especially most Tea Party and other organizations are getting sick of the "Blame Bush" even though the record shows that most Democrats supported the Iraq invasion BASED on the same Intelligence that President Bush was receiving. Now they still don't have any solutions and it's Blame Mike for supporting his President along with most Democrats.

Those who are criticizing Mike want to know his solutions to these problems that Rep. Murphy and his personally endorsed President Obama have exacerbated to near financial catastrophe for our country.

Ask yourself, are you better off today than you were on year ago.

Many don't agree with Mike Fitzpatrick on every issue, but on most we do.

I will finish with this comment, I have never taken any candidate for granted and what he promises, sometimes we have to make the best selection and hope for the best.

In respect to those who believe in the sanctity of life and oppose using our tax dollars to support Planned Parenthood and pay for abortions, Mike Fitzpatrick has earned the full support of the Pro-Life community.

Some of the Tea Party candidates have expressed their "pro-Life Beliefs", but Mike's qualifications are part of the Congressional record.

His first year in congress he cast the first PRO-LIFE vote in 12 years.

PLEASE! Look for the good in the man and what he has accomplished.
