Planned Parenthood is offering what I call a vending machine abortion. Women in Iowa go into one of their facilities expecting to see doctor. Instead they talk to an abortionist miles away via a computer monitor. He tells them about the chemical abortion RU 486. With a push of a button, a box then opens and dispenses the deadly drug. Cecile Richards, Planned Parenthood’s president, says they plan to expand vending machine abortions throughout Iowa and across the country in the next five years. It’s an effort to circumvent a shrinking number of physicians who’re willing to become abortionists. In the process, women are left to fend for themselves at whatever emergency room they’re able to locate should something go seriously wrong. And with this drug it often does.
