The Tuesday Girls

If I asked you to name some heroes of the pro-life movement, you might pick famous or well-known people. Two of my heroes aren’t talked about on news networks or blogged about on the Internet. They’re Esther Davis and her sister, Dorothy. These ladies, along with their other sisters—seven in all—volunteered at the Cincinnati Right to Life office every week for nearly thirty years. They were dubbed “The Tuesday Girls.” Now only two survive. Dorothy is ninety-one and Esther is eighty, but they plan to continue volunteering as long as God allows. And there are many others around the nation who have done the same. Well, today is Tuesday, so my hat is off to “The Tuesday Girls” as my heroes of the movement. Thanks for your help and God bless you.
