Parents in Massachusetts are angry to find out their own tax dollars are being used to undermine them as parents. State health officials are funding a teen-centered website doing just that. A young girl mascot, named Maria, draws teens into the site. Then she discourages young pregnant girls from choosing to have the baby—telling them babies are stressful. She also “warns” them about the downside of adoption. But abortion is another story. Maria doesn’t mention the emotional or physical risks. Instead, she tells teens getting an abortion is “much easier than it sounds.” She then says how to get around the law requiring a parent’s permission before having an abortion. They’re using tax dollars to tell kids how to get secret abortions, and it needs to come to an abrupt end.
