Neshaminy taxpayers pay for teachers abortion coverage
- 11-24-2010
Dear Pro-Life and Pro-Family friends,
Last night Tuesday Nov. 23rd, I attended the Neshaminy School Boeard meeting at Neshaminy Maple Point Middle School.
I listened for over an hour to all the comments of concerned school district residents about the negotiations (or lack thereof) between the Neshaminy School Board (NSB), and the Neshaminy Fedaration of Teachers (NFT) during the first session of public comment. About 10 persons made comment and they were all critical of the Union and Supportive of the School Board members.
During the second session of Public Comment I identified myself as Bill Miller, Vice President of the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition and stated I was there representing Catholic parents who are members of our Coalition and taxpayers of Neshaminy School district. I told the Board members that most of them send their children to Catholic school, and they realize that is their choice. However i stated that they are also taxpayers and are concerned about the Neshaminy School teachers health Care coverage. They have asked me to question the Neshaminy School Board whether the Teacher Health Care plan provides coverage for abortion for the teachers and female children who still live at home.
I expressed to the Board that as taxpayers and Catholics they object to any Health Care coverage contract that provides for the killing of innocent unborn children.
This is an evil and immoral action that they as taxpayers are being FORCED to support.
I questioned if they have read the coverage contract or if they already know if abortions are included in the coverage.
After the closing public comments, Mr. Webb the President of the Board said he wasn't positive but he did think abortion was covered. He told me to e-mail him and he would confirm if that is in fact true. He asked if anyone else on the board had any comments on my question.
Mr. Mike Morris was the only member to speak and he stated that he knows for sure that abortions are part of the health Care contract.
That means that Neshaminy tax dollars are being used to pay for abortion coverage for the the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers. We know that we have made the choice to send our children to Catholic, or private schools (and we pay our tuition. Our TAXES also so support the Neshaminy Schools and we have no complaints about that, however we are irate that our tax dollars are being used to pay for abortion coverage for the teachers.
IF THE TEACHERS WANT TO HAVE INSURANCE TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THEIR INNOCENT UNBORN CHILD KILLED THEY SHOULD BUY THAT INSURANCE THEMSELVES. DON'T MAKE THE TAXPAYERS ACCOMPLICES TO THE CRIME.
The next NSB meeting is scheduled for Monday Dec. 6th at Neshaminy Maple Point High School Auditorium.
The meeting begins at 7 pm.
Here is a list of School Board members if you would like to express your opposition to your tax dollars being used to pay for abortion coverage for the teachers.
