Dear Pro-Life Friends,

Before sharing with you my column for this week, let me call your attention to some other important items.

1) I urge you to call your United States Senators and ask them to vote to de-fund Planned Parenthood as the House did a few weeks ago.  You can be connected to your Senators’ offices by calling the US Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121.  Before you call, please read some short statements from women who have had abortions. The Silent No More Awareness Campaign is mobilizing against Planned Parenthood. When you call the Senate, speak on behalf of these women and quote their testimonies.

2) We are very excited about the start of our new alternative to “The View.” Starting on Friday, March 11, EWTN will air The Catholic View for Women. Co-hosted by Janet Morana of Priests for Life, Teresa Tomeo, and Astrid Bennett Gutierrez, this program offers a Catholic alternative to “The View,” and explores the adventure of living as a Catholic woman today. 3) Brand new episodes of my Defending Life program on EWTN will begin on Thursday, March 3.  Learn the latest methods for protecting the unborn, and be inspired by the Church’s teaching and the example of pro-life warriors.   Please advertise these new shows in your Church Bulletin.  A sample bulletin announcement was sent to by fax to every parish last week.
